So, let me start off by saying, I love my Danielle Johnson. At times I think she may be the only one who loves me back. lol. Here's my reasoning. She takes me to Philadelphia, so I can see all of my loves, for example, Adam Lazzara from Taking Back Sunday, Darryl from Head Automatica, and most recently, Louis from the Secret Handshake. I will admit, I was not "hip" to the sounds of the Secret Handshake, until I saw them Friday night. However, they will now and forever more be in my heart. Now, story time. Okay, so I me and Danielle were listening to some Secret Handshake, and Louis told the crowd how he didn't have anything to eat all day. I yell out and offer to buy him a pretzel, being the nice person I am. lol. He laughs. Then goes on to his next wonderful song. Then during All Time Low, I see Mr. Louis emerge from backstage. At this point, I am determined to buy his EP. So the oh so magnificent All Time Low finishes up, and luckily for Danielle and myself, Hit the Lights showed up (we were afraid they were going to no show because they were really late because of the weather). We listened to them, then the headlining band comes on. Valencia. Oh they were simply outstanding. During the show, they played two new songs, and me and Danielle knew both of them because of our alley experience with valencia and tour manager a couple weeks prior when we went to Philadelphia to see Jack's Mannequin and Head Automatica. They encored my two favorite songs they have to offer. More specifically, my favorite song, The Space Between. So, after the show, i bought some "merch". I started off by buying an All Time Low set of a T-shirt, Poster, and CD. Then, I was off to complete my mission. Yep. I bought The Secret Handshake EP. I did myself one better too. I had a not so intelligent conversation with Louis about hot dogs. More specifically, how disgusting hot dogs are. What we discovered. We both dislike hot dogs, and think that you could possibly be eating a raccoon. The End.
